Hi SLO Veg Family & Friends 🌿

This week’s harvest took a little extra care to pull together, and I have to say — it was worth it. Between a brief weather gap in the fields, the usual seasonal shuffle, and rising fuel costs affecting our farmers from the field to delivery, this week’s lineup may be a little tighter than usual — but what’s here is truly primo. We leaned into quality, flavor, and the very best of what our farmers have ready right now, and this box is full of some really beautiful picks.

One of the best surprises this week? Early zucchini from A. Casas Farms! A little unexpected and such a welcome sign of what’s ahead. Our focus this week is all about zucchini — and all the fun ways to enjoy it. Spiral it into oodles of zoodles, toss it into pastas, shave it raw into salads, grill it, roast it, or sauté it simply with olive oil and herbs. It’s one of those easy, versatile favorites that can go just about anywhere and makes summer cooking feel effortless.

And arriving fresh on Wednesday — the first harvest of snow angel peaches, along with sweet blueberries and more of those beloved Brook’s cherries. A few extra little tastes of summer that we’re so happy to share with you.

This week’s box may be a bit more curated, but it’s packed with the kind of fresh, flavorful items that remind us why eating with the seasons is always worth it. As always, we’ve rounded out the week with a fully stocked marketplace so you can add extra produce, artisan favorites, and fresh fish to build your perfect box.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend and some very delicious meals ahead 💚

With gratitude,

Rachael and SLO Veg Team
