It’s definitely fair to say beets have an acquired taste and texture that not everyone loves. It’s a shame because beets are SO good for you and should be included in everyone’s diet. They have huge amounts of antioxidants, they’re great for athletes due to their ability to produce nitric oxide, and have tons of vitamins and minerals. So when we found this delicious beet recipe we were so excited to share it with you! It’s so good we think even the anti-beet eaters will love it.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup chopped raw beets (peeled)
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup dairy free milk
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2-1 inch fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 1 tbsp hulled hemp seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
