New Marketplace Products at SLO Veg!

We’ve been adding so many new exciting things to our SLO Veg Marketplace and thought we should give you the rundown on what these products are and why we love them!

Pasture Raised Eggs From Rosemary Farm

Start your day off right with some of the freshest eggs on the market! We are so excited to be offering pasture-raised eggs as a regular marketplace item. Rosemary Farm is deliberate about establishing a high standard of sustainability and ethicality in the treatment and care for their hens. These eggs harbor a freshness that you can not only taste, but also see. A fresh egg will have a firmer, thicker white, with a bright yellow or orange yolk. These make for amazing omelets, frittatas, and are the perfect complement to ramen!

We currently offer a 6-count portion as well as a 10-count selection of Rosemary Farm Eggs. Because we want to upkeep their same quality for freshness, we ask that you order your eggs in accordance with our ordering schedule below:

Mama Ganache Chocolate Barks

We teamed up with Mama Ganache in early February as one of our special offerings for Valentine’s Day. Their products were so much of a hit that we decided to continue to offer their chocolate barks as permanent marketplace items. We currently offer four different varieties of chocolate bark:

Omega Bark

70% dark chocolate with pistachios, pepitas, almonds, cocoa nibs and sea salt.

Nirvana Bark

White chocolate with rose petals, cardamom, and pistachios.

Classic Almond Bark

Vegan friendly dark chocolate with California almonds.

Cherry Almond Bark

Vegan friendly dark chocolate with tart dried cherries and California almonds.

Each bark comes in a 4oz package, they’re absolutely delicious and make for fun gifts as well. Make sure to keep up-to-date with our weekly newsletters because there’s rumors that we may be adding more of their items soon!

Extended Giovanni’s Fish Offerings

All of our weekly fish offerings come from Giovanni’s Fish Market and Galley in Morro Bay. We’ve decided to offer extended fish options in addition to the special offering that changes week to week. These additional fish options include Wild Prawns, Rock Crab Claws, Spiny Brazilian Lobster Tail, Wild King Salmon, and Jumbo Scallops. Small and Large portion options are available for selection on our Marketplace.

Fish is an awesome way to round out your weeknight meals, refer to our blog for recipe inspiration for both our fish and our weekly harvest/fruit box offerings.

Rozetree Botanicals Skincare Products

We have recently teamed up with Rozetree Botanicals which is a natural, vegan skincare line that was founded by San Luis Obispo local, Tenli Van Rozeboom. Tenli previously worked as a lymphedema therapist, specializing with breast cancer patients. From interacting with her patients, she learned that many women battling cancer are discouraged from using certain hygiene and beauty products in concurrence with their treatments. As some of us may know firsthand, cancer treatments can drastically alter our bodies, and Breast Cancer treatments can specifically alter the body parts that women associate their beauty and feminine identity with. Tenli heard this feedback and saw this as an opportunity to create alternative options to help her patients feel nourished and beautiful.

Kelpful Sustainable Seaweed Products

We’ve been collaborating with Kelpful for a while now, and want to give them the press that they deserve. Kelpful is an awesome local brand that harvests all their seaweed by hand and uses the beautiful Central Coast sun to dry it before packaging and distributing it to their vendors. Kelpful cares a lot about the climate, therefore everything that they do is sustainability oriented, in fact, 1% of their profits goes to SeaTrees which is a nonprofit that is committed to reforesting the Ocean.

Cali Furi

Furikake Seasoning with roasted wild nori and kelp, organic toasted sesame seeds and California sea salt!

Cali Furi Fire

Spicy Furikake Seasoning with roasted wild nori and kelp, organic toasted sesame seeds, organic chili flakes, and California sea salt!

Seaweed Salt

Roasted wild nori and kelp blended with California sea salt flakes. Sprinkle on anything and everything to give it a nutrient dense, salty, umami kick!

Grapestone

Grapestone is a little known treasure of the Central Coast, also called “Mermaid Bacon.” Fry or bake in a little oil to bring out bacon-like flavors, adding salt to taste.

Kelp

Kelp is amazingly versatile, and can be used dry or rehydrated. Keep in mind it is quite salty! We also offer Roasted Kelp.

Nori

You’ve probably had Nori wrapped around your sushi or as a crispy snack. Our locally-sourced raw unprocessed Nori allows you to make your own! We also offer Roasted Nori.
