This Week’s Fresh Fish Offering

Mahi Mahi

Mahi Mahi, also widely called dorado and dolphinfish, is a firm, lean white fish that is incredibly versatile and requires little preparation for a delicious meal. Mahi Mahi can be grilled, broiled, or even fried. One of our favorite ways to prepare it is to simply pan-sear the fillets in a lemon and butter sauce, allowing the delicate flavors and flaky texture to shine. Fish is supplied by Giovanni’s Fish Market and Grotto in Morro Bay.

Storage Tips

The most important first step to take when receiving your SLO Veg harvest box is to prepare your items for proper storage. Stored correctly, your produce should last well beyond one week. For many items, freshness can last for much longer than that! As a great rule of thumb, always avoid keeping citrus, fruits, and heartier produce at room temperature unless you plan to consume these immediately. Proper refrigeration is key!
