Fresh New Wild Bread Co Sourdough Flavor – “The Everything”
We’ve added a new spectacular flavor, log in to your account to receive yours with your next delivery.
The Everything Sourdough – This super savory sourdough loaf began with our obsession of everything bagels. Loaded with onion and garlic flakes, toasted sesame, poppy and caraway seeds; this is a boldly flavorful loaf sure to please! We use a blend of wheat and durum flours, resulting in a slightly denser and chewy crumb with a crisp, cracker-like, crust. The Everything Sourdough loaf comes in at 19% whole grain and is delicious topped with avocado and a poached egg or cut into “sticks” and dipped in your favorite hummus.

In The Spirit of Giving This Holiday Season
From my earliest childhood memories I still recall many Christmas’ our family would choose several families in our church that were struggling throughout the year and especially during the holiday season. Many of them could not afford to put food on their tables, pay their bills, nor the possibility of affording Christmas gifts for their children.

Each year mom and dad along with all 5 of my siblings would come together in the kitchen crafting homemade gifts, jams, breads, food boxes and many times, toys we’d purchased.  Each of us kids would earn money doing chores around the house, then save our allowance to pick out gifts from the local mercantile to gift wrap. What a joy it was all of us coming together with our love for others. It taught each of us kids the blessing of giving to others.

When it came time to deliver it was always on a Monday evening, “Family Home Evening” a night where we dedicated each week one night to all come together as a family.  Here we go… all 7 of us would load up in the big ol’ Chevy station wagon filled with gifts in tow ~ Santa’s sleigh!  With Christmas music blaring on the 8 track player, all of us singing Christmas carols we were off to deliver with giddy anticipation to see what was in store.  Upon arrival at each stop, dad would park the car a few houses away, hop out grab the gifts, sneakily place them all on the front porch without anyone noticing, then ring the bell and run. Many times we watched dad dive into the bushes!

Then the moment of great anticipation came, the front door opens, we all watch steadfastly to see what happens next.  The joy and happy elated reactions was almost too much to handle, seeing mom’s and dads hollering to the kids, “Come look and see ~ Santa has just arrived! Watching dad run back to the car, then off to do it all over again was the “Coo de Grah!

To this day we never shared with the families that we had been their Santa and Elves. The tears of joy, laughter, and sheer happiness on their faces…Is and will forever be one of my greatest memories.
Thanks mom and dad, you taught each of us kids one of the greatest gifts in life!  Love, Rachael

Let Us All Come Together In The Spirit of Giving!

This Christmas season our SLO Veg family and crew are gifting a number of local families in SLO County who need a lot of extra love, cheer, and kindness. We want to give back and make a difference! Our gifts will include fruit and veggie baskets with additional gift certificates for future deliveries, gifted signature marketplace items, along with wonderful wish list Christmas presents for children.

Please join us in the spirit of giving to help make a difference in others lives. Your donations will be loved and enjoyed by all of the families we donate to. Thank you so much for your kind and generous donation.

We’ve just added the option to shop our SLO Veg Marketplace with donations ranging from $25 to $150. You can purchase as little or as much as you like by increasing the amount desired under each tab. Every act of kindness in donating is such a blessing for all.

Your donations will help us reach more families and will be greatly loved and appreciated by the families in need. Our goal is to raise $3000+ in the next 3 weeks. We’ve already raised $300 in 4 days.  Our staff, “Santa’s Elves”, will purchase children’s gifts, wrap them and delivery all gifts the week of Christmas. Thank you all so much in advance for your love, support, and generous contributions.

We look forward to sharing more details about the families and our experiences in the upcoming weeks.

Happy Holidays! Love your dedicated SLO Veg Elves, Farmers, and Partnered Artisans
