We’ve had a lot of rain this week — the kind that makes farm life especially challenging. Think trudging through muddy fields, hand-harvesting in the cold, boots soaked and fingers numb. It’s not glamorous work. It’s heart work. It’s a true labor of love to feed this community.

What you don’t always see is that heavy rains can mean lost crops. After months of careful planning, planting, cultivating, and hoping… sometimes Mother Nature throws a curveball. It’s something so many of us can relate to. No matter how much intention and effort we pour into something, life doesn’t always go according to plan.

In those moments, what matters most is how we show up for one another.

Every dollar we spend is a vote for the kind of world we want to live in. It means everything. Our farmers feel it, and we do too.

Yes, eating fresh vegetables from local farms can cost a little more than the typical grocery store. But what you’re investing in goes far beyond the price tag. You’re investing in your health.
