  • 1 lb. damson plums
  • 12 oz. sugar

PIE CRUST:

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 TB butter, frozenĀ and chopped in small pieces
  • 3 TB lard, frozenĀ and chopped in small pieces
  • 1-1/2 TB (or more) ice water

FILLING:

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 TB melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. damson plum preserves
