🌽 Welcome, Sweet Summer Corn!

Hello friends!

We’re so excited to welcome the first organic corn on the cob of the season into this week’s boxes! There’s just something about that first ear of summer corn—it feels like a little celebration of the season. 🌽

It’s sweet, juicy, and so versatile. Pair it with our vine-ripened tomatoes and avocados for a simple summer salad, turn it into a fresh salsa with some peppers and onion, throw it on the grill for a little smoky char, or just boil it up, add a little butter and salt, and enjoy it exactly as it is.

🥗 Cool, Crisp & Perfect for Summer

This is also the perfect time for those cool beet salads. Toss roasted or steamed beets with our fresh, crisp green leaf lettuce, add some avocado or radishes, and finish it with a bright, homemade vinaigrette. Simple, colorful, and exactly what we’re craving on these warm summer days.

🍝 A Little Pasta Love

We’ve lowered the prices on our Etto pasta so everyone can give it a try! You can’t get it cheaper anywhere else. If you haven’t experienced it yet, now is a great time to add some to your order. It’s a wonderful pantry staple and makes an easy dinner when paired with all the beautiful summer produce.

🍰 Something New from Proof & Gather

We’re also excited to introduce a new mini loaf from Proof and Gather Bakery: Zucchini Crumble! This little loaf is soft and tender with the goodness of zucchini and a delicious crumble topping. It’s just the right size for a sweet treat, afternoon coffee, or a little something to tuck into the lunchbox. We have a feeling these won’t last long!

If you’ve been thinking about trying your hand at pickling, check out our Quick Pickle Kit. It makes it easy to turn those fresh vegetables into something tangy, crunchy, and delicious.

Not ready for the whole kit? No problem! We also offer the seasoning packets on their own, so you can grab the mix and use your own jars and ingredients at home.

🐛 A Little Note About Your Organic Corn

And finally, a little heads-up about our beautiful organic corn. Because it’s grown without conventional pesticides, you may occasionally find a tiny, uninvited traveler tucked into the tip of the ear or hiding among the silk. 

Don’t worry—this is a natural part of growing sweet corn. Our farmers work hard to manage pests naturally, but sometimes Mother Nature gets the last word! If you find a little visitor or some damage at the tip, simply trim off the affected area, remove the husk and silk, give the corn a rinse, and enjoy the rest of the ear.

A little extra trimming is a small price to pay for sweet, fresh, organically grown corn! 🌽💚
