Farm Fresh Harvest Boxes May 6-9, 2025

Hello SLO Veg Family!  Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday, May 11th, and what better way to show a little love than with a fresh, local breakfast spread made with care? This week’s harvest is packed with vibrant, nourishing produce—perfect for treating Mom to a healthy breakfast in bed or a beautiful brunch at the table. Imagine a colorful fruit platter overflowing with Sweet Monterey strawberries, organic Fuji or Pink Lady apples, juicy Cara Cara navels, tangy blood oranges, and sweet-tart Oro Blanco grapefruit. Add a few Pixie mandarins for a pop of sunshine, and you’ve got a morning she won’t forget.

We also have local eggs and gourmet cheese, artisan chocolate, fresh squeezed juice, fresh flowers, baked goods and more in the marketplace to complement your meal!

Our local farmers are bringing in the best of the season right now, and this week’s box is bursting with spring freshness. You’ll find first harvest red leaf lettuce, tender Shanghai baby bok choy, vibrant spinach bunches, and flavorful organic spring green onions. Crisp red cabbage, hearty broccoli crowns, and sweet cauliflower are all perfect for sides, salads, or veggie-forward meals the whole family can enjoy. And don’t sleep on those sugar snap peas—they’re basically nature’s candy.
